Job Type: 27-month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:30am to 7:30pm as rostered), Monday to Sunday including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

The role

We are currently looking to recruit a Pre-registration Pharmacy Technician Apprentice at The London Clinic. In this role, you will support the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality pharmacy services. Working closely with pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, you will gain hands-on experience while completing your apprenticeship qualification. Responsibilities include accurate record keeping, stock management, patient support, and contributing to service improvement. This position requires a proactive and professional approach, with a strong commitment to learning and teamwork.

Key Duties

Core Apprentice Responsibilities

  • Maintain an e-portfolio of evidence as directed by college assessors or in-house educational supervisors
  • Attend regular progress meetings
  • Manage study time effectively
  • Consistently deliver accurate work and meet course deadlines
  • Achieve in-house competencies across pharmacy services
  • Uphold the professional reputation and confidentiality of the department

General Responsibilities

  • Participate in audits and quality improvement projects
  • Maintain professional conduct and align with Clinic values
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality across all activities
  • Undertake duties as required by the Chief Pharmacist

Qualifications – Essential:

  • GCSEs (Grades A–C / 4–9) or equivalent, including Maths and English
  • Level 2 Apprenticeship in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office

Experience:

  • Experience working in a pharmacy setting
  • Customer service background

Skills:

  • Self-directed learning ability
  • Willingness and capacity to complete pharmacy technician training
  • Strong IT and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong numeracy and literacy
  • Time management and workload prioritisation
